In the last couple of seasons of Mad Men, the lens lingers on characters for longer, performing these inane interactions with their environment, often behind the viewing position. This creates a sense of viewing from inside a dynamic microcosm, shows moments juxtaposed to the often theatrical encounters between people and straight up dumb frames like this.
